Good-bye

Last week Cole's uncle Ben passed away. He was 6 months away from his 80th birthday. Sadly I only got to meet Ben once. But I've heard many many many stories about him so I feel as if I know him better then I do.

This is what his obituary says..

Benjamin John Kenneth Duffey 11/26/1929 ~ 5/14/2009 Benjamin John Kenneth Duffey our beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle is now at peace after passing away in his home on May 14 2009. Preceded in death by his sister Betty Robison, parents Benjamin Isaac and Venetta. Survived by his four children Travis, Calin, Rick, and Sherry, seven grandchildren, his brother Bob and wife Brenda, and sister Gloria Ginn. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Wed. May 20, 2009 at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 So. Camp Williams Road, Camp Williams, Utah - 801-254-9036
My heart just achs for Travis and his kids Trevor and Tiffany. They were living with Ben. I can't even imagine what Cole's dad is going through. I talked to him mom last night and she said he's been doing a lot of talking about the past. When they were younger and the hunting trips they went on. We go camping the same place they used to so I think this year we'll have to make a special trip there and make some kind of memorial for him.
My poor husband. He's never been on to show emotion but I know this is really huting him. My poor rose bushes show it. He trimed them the night after it happened and he cut away half the bushes. Every now and then I'll see him wipe away some tears. He has been my rock so many times and now it's my turn to be his.
Rest In Peace Uncle Ben!!! We love you!!

Irish Blessing
May the roads rise up to meet you,
May the winds always be at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your feilds,
And until we meet again
May god hold you in the hollow
of his hand.

Celtic Woman Concert

Christmas Eve last year Cole gave me a card with money in it. Cole told me it was money for Celtic Woman. I CRIED!!!!! I absolutely love these ladies. They are so amazing. On Tuesday 5-12, Cole and I went to the concert. It was BEAUTIFUL! The group is made up of the most angelic voices you'll ever hear.

My favorite is Chloe Agnew. She's only 19 years old. Her voice gives me goose bumps. She recorded her first solo album at age 11. She became a member of Celtic Women at age 12. I think she is absolutely beautiful and I love her.

Cole's favorite is Mairead Nesbitt. She is the Violinist. Cole says she is "sick", She has tons of energy. She was all over the place. Spinning, jumping and all kids of crazy kicks. All while still playing her violin. She started playing when she was only 6 years old. Before she was apart of Celtic Woman she was part of Riverdance. I also found out that she is on the "Tinker Bell" movie soundtrack.

The other girls are:
Alex Sharpe

Lisa Kelly

Lynn Hilary

My favorite song is "Spanish Lady". With every song that passed I became a little on the sad side. They hadn't sang my favorite song yet and after they sang "The soft goodbye" people started to leave. Then the first couple cords of Spanish Lady started. I was like a little kid on Christmas morning. I was SOOOO EXCITED!! Cole said after he was glad they sang it because he was scared to ride inthe car with me if they hadn't.

The other songs I like are:
-The Voice
-Orinoco Flow
-Danny Boy
-You Raise Me Up
-The Sky and The Dawn and The Sun
-Somewhere
-Dulaman
-Ave Maria
-At the Ceili

Cole informed me that IF we have another baby and it's a girl he wants to name her Chloe. Which I would so do but we already have a "A" thing going on. So we can use it as a middle name. But we haven't decided if we're going to have anymore or not.

We've already decided that if they come back we're going to take the kids.

Good bye friend

So the later part of last week I got a call from my mother. A dear friend of mine passed away. He took his own life. I do not know why, no one but him knew why. All I know is there is a void in my heart. He was a wonderful father to his 7 year old daughter. He was a caring man and was always there for his friends.

My greatest memory of him was he was going to go to the Janet Jackson and Usher concert with his friends. He knew I liked Usher so he traded his FLOOR ticket in for 2 tickets so he could take me. I still to this day don't think I thanked him enough for that.

Rest in piece dear friend and save my a little piece of heaven. We will miss you!!

Happy Valentines

This year was a lot of fun. We spent the day together as a family. We had Kayla this year and that was awesome!! Friday night Cole stopped at the store on his way home and got Valentines gifts for us all. He got me and Kayla cards, he got Alexis a sleeping beauty book and Austin a cars puzzle. We did something different this year, we took the kids to dinner with us. We went to Wingers YUMO!! I wanted pictures of the kids but didn't want to spend the money to go to the studio so I took the pictures my self. Kayla and I took the cushions off the love seat and put 2 white blankets on the couch and pinned it to the wall to make it look like a nice white back drop. I learned the technique from my BFF Katie. The pictures turned out so cute and I am very happy with them.

FOXY ROXY

Thursday night Cole got a wild hair up his butt and was looking at the puppies on ksl. But this time was different he was seriously looking. We looked all night until 1 in the morning. We went to bed and when we got up a guy in Tooele was selling our perfect dog.
There were 5 of them a boy and 4 girls. Out of no where I heard Cole say "get ready we are going to Tooele" I jumped off the couch and ran over to the computer and there she was, the most beautiful little puppy ever. I was so drawn to her. I asked Cole "are you serious?". He picked up his phone and called the guy. When Cole got off the phone we loaded up the kids in the superduty and were on our way to get her. The drive out there seemed so long I didn't think we'd ever get there. WE pulled up to the house and all the babies were out side with their mama playing. There she was just sitting on a pillow so cute and sweet. Cole said "okay babe which one do you want?" I already had my heart set on her so it was an easy decision to make. The ride home was cute! She sat up on my sholders in the hood of my coat.

We named her ROXY. She is three quarters blue/red heeler and a quarter border colli. She is so beautiful. She has the sweetest face. I've very surprised that she is already house broken. SHe'll let you know when she needs to go out side to potty. The last 2 night she has slept with Cole and I and does very well. She layes either between Cole and I or at our feet. Last night my feet were so cold and I think she knew because she layed on my feet.

Roxy isn't a lap dog, she likes to lay next to you. If she's not asleep and you get up she'll whin a little to let you know she misses you. It's so funny watching her witht he kids. You'll see Austin run by and then her comes Roxy right behind him. Alexis is good with her too, Lexi pets her and giggles when Roxy gives her kisses.

Cole cracks me up. He's already talking about taing her camping and fishing with us this summer. I know he's wanted a dog for a real long time and I am so happy that he's found the one he wanted. And yes I say the one he wanted because he was so happy when I chose the one I wanted cuz it's the one he wanted too. She fits perfect into our family and we all love her greatly.

This is her mom(Girl) and dad(Cooter). Mom is a red heeler and border colli mix and dad is a blue heeler and red heeler mix.
